November 13, 2022 Williamsville United Methodist Church News

Thanksgiving is upon us! Everyone is invited to come to the Community Thanksgiving Service at 6:00 pm at the Church of the Nazarene Sunday, November 20. The church is located at 7085 Village Center Road in Sherman, northwest of County Market. Pastor Shane Sims will be preaching the message. You don’t have to be a member of any church to attend.

Pastor Shane continued with the message in Mark 14:32-42 this week emphasizing the need to pray. In his humanity, Jesus prayed for strength to endure the struggle that was upon him. Jesus walked down the hill to check on his friends and encourage them to pray that they did not lose faith and fall into temptation. Three times he found them sleeping. The third time Jesus walked with boldness, courage and a focus. He did not run and hide, but went with courage like a lion to be arrested and crucified.

What struggle are you facing?

Go to God in prayer. Pour out all that is in you- be real with God. Pray and ask for the strength, wisdom and courage for today’s spiritual battle, for today’s temptation.

Nov. 20 the Sunday morning message will be brought by Jeremiah Smith and will focus on the Lord’s Prayer. The children will be singing some of their favorite tunes. See you in church!
