Williamsville United Methodist Church

John the Baptist – locusts and wild honey, declarer of the truth, a prophet, courageous, recognized Jesus before he was even born, did not care what other’s thought. His message, “Repent…turn from your sin.”

John had zero problem calling out sin and confronting others. Which when you read Mark 6:14-29, you’ll find landed him in jail and eventually his head on a platter, literally.

Despite a traumatic end, John’s birth, death, and everything in between reminds us to be bold declarers of the truth at any cost. Boldness means confidently and courageously sharing the truth of the gospel.

To prepare and be battle ready, read the word of God daily. It increases our knowledge of God. The Holy Spirit strengthens us and ministers to us through the word. Knowing Jesus gives us rest and peace, hope and joy so that we can be a people who live radically for our God.

All are welcome to worship with us at 9:00 am Sunday morning. Currently, we are studying the Gospel of Mark.
