Williamsville United Methodist Church

We appreciate all who came to the Community Worship service on Sept. 12 and to the Back-to-Worship Kick-off last week. If you missed it, you are not too late. Visitors are always welcome at WUMC. The service starts at 9:00 a.m., the dress is casual. Come as you are to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Children are welcome in the service or may go to Sunday School for Bible stories, arts and games.

We are studying in the book of Mark. Jesus has called his disciples and is teaching, healing and casting out demons. He sent the apostles out in pairs to proclaim that people should repent. They cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them.

Repentance, turning from evil ways, is not a one-and-done command. We are sinners living in a sinful world. Daily confessing our sins before God, asking for forgiveness and then putting our trust in Christ that we are forgiven allows us to put down shame and guilt and to live for Christ.

Prayer group meets on Monday morning at 8. Community coffee hour meets on Tuesday at 10. If you have free time and would like to help, we are putting together the playground that is laying in the side yard on Saturday, October 16. Lunch will be provided. Extra hands are welcome.
