“He went out again beside the sea, and all the crowd was coming to him, and he was teaching them. And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.” Mark 2:13-14
Jesus is starting his ministry that will change the world, and he calls four fishermen and a tax collector to be his disciples. “ God’s grace is at work. His grace is greater than our past sin.
What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus? 1) Acknowledge Jesus is the son of God, our Savior, the Messiah. 2) Obey his commands and hold to his teachings. 3) Connect to the body of Christ, the church to use the spiritual gifts you have been given.
Easter Sunday is a good time to go to church. Listen to the message of salvation that is meant for you. Jesus is calling your name. He wants to set you free from the burdens you carry.
WUMC will have a tent set up outside for worship. The message will also be streamed inside and on FM radio. Come as you are. The service will start at 9:00 a.m. and last for approximately 45 minutes. You are invited to come. We welcome you.
