WEEKLY NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Guest Preacher & UMCOR Offering. Today we welcome Rev. Dan Brown (Pastor Meredith’s father-in-law!) as our guest preacher – it’s an honor to have him lead worship with us today. We will also receive a special offering to support the tremendous work of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (see insert).

Lenten Evening Service Today at 6:30pm. Our shared United Methodist Lenten Evening Worship services are on Sundays at 6:30pm through April 14. Today’s service is at Sugar Creek UMC, 1022 New City Rd., Chatham, with Pastor Jon Carrell, preacher.

Williamsville Hosts NEXT Week. Our congregation hosts the Lenten Evening Worship service next Sunday, April 7. Our Seasonal Choir will be singing, and we are in need of several folks to help with hospitality – greeters, ushers, and refreshments for fellowship time. Please let us know on the Response Sheet if you can help.

Property Clean-up on Saturday. The Trustees are hosting a cleaning up around the church property this Saturday, April 6 from 8:00am-Noon (we want to look our very best for Easter!) Wear clothes for working outside and bring some yard clean-up tools if you’ve got ‘em (rakes, brooms, clippers, weeding tools, etc.) Lunch is provided, too. Let us know you can help out on the Response Sheet, and for more information, speak with Stuart Doom or Rick Selinger.

Thanks for a Fabulous Fish Fry! Great food, fellowship and fun were enjoyed by all. Our last one is Friday, April 12 from 4:30-7:00pm. Please use the clip-board to sign-up to help, and please speak with Laura and Cathy as well with questions, etc.; AND invite your friends and family to enjoy a tasty meal and fellowship!

Pastor Meredith Away This Week. Pastor Meredith and family are traveling to Texas to see family this week. Please contact the church office with prayer concerns, bulletin announcements, and other communication needs. Pastor Jon Carrell of Sherman UMC is covering emergency pastoral care, and Carol Sims, Jeremiah Smith, and Laura Smith are available to help as well.

Mark Your Calendar Now for Special Worship Services. During Holy Week, the week preceeding Easter, we will gather for several powerful worship experiences with special music provided by our Seasonal Choir. On April 18, Maundy Thursday begins at 6:00pm with a worshipful meal and continues with music and prayer. On April 19, Good Friday Worship begins at 7:00pm, including special music, Tenebrae, and prayer. See you then!
